ICARE CERTIFICATION OVERVIEW

The International Certified Academic Resourceful Educator (ICARE), produced as a joint-venture between BISMARCK State College and Sterling International, is a professional development program designed to tool up educators with necessary equipment ensuring their success in offering excellent education experiences for all learners. This program is designed to enable participants to become accomplished, passionate and inspirational instructors, who can make a real difference in the lives of their students.

Based on the Sterling model, the ICARE program will not only equip educators with the skills they need to become effective educators but also will enable them to develop their own theories of learning and models of good practice, through critical engagement with theories of education, education initiatives and education practice.

However, in the light of the Sterling model, educators serve as role models for the young people they teach. And they are offered globally accepted pedagogical qualifications and continuing professional development resources. Keeping in mind the outcomes of the Sterling model, recognized as one of the most well-structured and comprehensive development programs in the USA, the I- CARE program continues to respond to The ICARE program participants would probably be of the top or middle faculty members, should they show high passion, and readiness to grow excellent communication skills. They should be able to gain deep knowledge of modern pedagogical methodologies, and develop strong relationships with learners. With 12-16 participants in each class, the program is planned to provide concentrated and individualized support for each participant; trainees get personalized attention and are allowed an opportunity to participate in every discussion and activity.

ONGOIN GUIDANCE, MENTORING, AND SUPPORT

The ICARE program is delivered by carefully selected faculty members of high ranked universities in the USA with no less than 10 years of extensive practical experience in leading and implementing K-12 education reform initiatives. The program faculty are of senior teaching staff with profound educational expertise gained by their collaboration with some of the world’s leading educational organizations.

The program instructors are supported by certified mentors, who have earned an MA and/or Ph.Ds., and have been accredited by the highest professional bodies in Pedagogical and Human sciences. The program mentors network has members from USA, Asia, Europe, the Middle East, and Africa. Mentors are involved with faculty and learners during the entire program; they align the program content and case studies to the educational institution local culture, and they support participants during workshops with personalized guidance and more relevant examples, they deliver frontline support to participants after each phase and guide participants through their project assignment
